Clinical outreach team

Our Clinical Outreach service is aimed at people who are unable to attend mainstream sexual health clinics. This may be due to;

Poor engagement with mainstream services

Substance or alcohol misuse

A condition that affects mobility

A history of domestic violence

Concern about multiple partners

Language difficulties

Multiple vulnerabilities

Poverty affecting transport

 

Our nurses offer clinical sessions at a variety of outreach venues throughout Sefton and can accommodate individual visits .

 

Services Offered

We can provide;

All methods of contraception; Emergency contraception, Pills, Implants, Injections, patches, rings, appointments for coils, condoms.

Screening for sexually transmitted infections including blood borne viruses

Pregnancy testing

Cytology

Advice

Referrals to other agencies

 

Follow up arrangements will be made as required.

Patients are referred to us via a health or social care professional.
